2010 Austin Hope Grenache

The 2010 growing season began with heavy rainfall, which the vines loved. After fermentation, the wine was aged for nine months on its lees in 100% French oak barrels. The 2010 Grenache opens with aromas of plum, cherry and blackberry, with notes of spice and leather. The wine displays excellent balance and finesse with flavors of blackberry, cranberry, red currant on the mid-palate and has hints of black pepper; allspice and violet linger on the finish. The 2010 Austin Hope Grenache will develop with age and should be enjoyed over the next four to seven years.
