James Buda is a native of Detroit, Michigan and currently lives in San Diego, California with his wife and son.  His passion for the wine industry began 15 years ago while he was working at a fine-dining, seafood restaurant in Seattle.  James moved to the distributor side of the business in Michigan a few years later where he worked for J. Lewis Cooper and Viviano Wine Importers, the largest distributor in the state.  James came to work for the Hope family in January 2007.  A graduate of the University of Michigan, James is an avid Wolverine fan and also enjoys traveling, cooking and golf.   He has six siblings (five sisters!) and enjoys as much quality time with them as he can.  James can be found enjoying and talking about wines up and down California.
