Marty moved to California in 1985 after starting his career in the restaurant business in Sarasota, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. He parlayed that valuable experience into a career with Southern Wine and Spirits in 1991, working several territories throughout the San Diego area during his nine year tenure.
In 1999 Marty made the switch to the supplier side of the wine industry when he went to work for Sebastiani. Two years later, he went to work for Heck Estates, which produces Kenwood, Valley of the Moon and Lake Sonoma wines. Over the course of ten successful years, he went from running the San Diego territory to overseeing California and Nevada as the Southwest Regional Manager. In June of 2012 Marty joined Hope Family Wines and is now responsible for California sales.
Marty has two (almost) grown children - Zach, who is attending UCLA and daughter Callahan at the University of Maryland. Marty has acted in theater most of his life enjoys sailing and serves as a high school football official.
