Creighton “Mac” MacDonald is a veteran of the Paso Robles wine industry. He began his career in winery operations in 1975 at the Hoffman Mountain Ranch in the hills of Adelaida, west of Paso Robles. In 1982 he formed a small business to assist in vineyard layout, fencing, irrigation and trellising along with select harvest services. In 1988 he became the Operations Manager and later General Manager for J. Lohr Vineyards and Winery in Paso and helped develop their red wine facility as well as many of the original vineyards. Mac was hired as a contract general manager to oversee the construction of the first two phases of Robert Hall Winery in 2000. In 2004 he was hired at Vina Robles Winery as operations manager and oversaw the first stages of their hospitality center. Mac joined the Hope Family Wines as Director of Production and Facilities in 2007.
Creighton served on the early Paso Robles Wine Festival Committee, was the President of the Paso Robles Winegrowers Association when it formed the Vintners and Growers association, which is now the PRWCA. He is a past alternate district director to the Wine Institute, past District One appointee to the SLO County Ag Liaison Committee and an early delegate to COLAB.
